The Catechism presents faithfully and in an organic way the teaching of Sacred Scripture, of the living Tradition of the Church and of the authentic Magisterium, as well as the spiritual heritage of the Fathers and Saints of the Church, in order to allow a better understanding of the Christian mystery and to revive the faith of the People of God.
Published by Edições CNBB, this edition of the Catechism has been revised to comply with the current Portuguese Language Orthographic Agreement. We have also sought to adapt the language to facilitate understanding. In this way, we hope to help the faithful and people interested in the Catholic faith and who wish to know what the Church believes and teaches.
