Book of the Prophet Elijah: Encountering the God Who Passes By

What can the story of the prophet Elijah teach us about trusting in God, especially when we face difficulties and moments of suffering?

In the book Elijah the Prophet: Encountering the God Who Passes By, Angela Abdo and Father André Favoretti invite the reader to gain a deeper understanding of the life of one of the great prophets of the Old Testament and discover how his teachings remain relevant today.

Drawing on reflections based on the Holy Scriptures, Father André presents Elijah's journey, marked by courage, obedience, perseverance, and trust in God, even in the face of trials.

Angela Abdo complements this journey with testimonies from mothers in the Mothers Who Pray for Their Children Movement, showing how prayer, surrender, and hope can transform the way we face the challenges of motherhood and family life.

More than just learning the story of a prophet, this work is an invitation to recognize God's presence in our own lives and learn to hear His voice in the midst of difficulties.

This reading is especially recommended for mothers who pray for their children, members of prayer groups, and anyone who wishes to deepen their faith and grow in intimacy with God.
