Saint Michael's greatest virtue comes from his decision and attitude preceding all these deeds and ministerial exercises, wherein, faced with the madness of a creature who wished to be compared to the Lord, Michael declares: "Who is like God?"

His name is an allusion to the high degree of conviction and fidelity this archangel has to the Most High. "Michael" means "Who is like God?", precisely in the form of a question, given in response to Satan's arrogance.
