Devotional of the Holy Souls in Purgatory - Hesed

This devotional is a collection of prayers to suffrage the blessed souls of the faithful suffering the pains of Purgatory.

When the Council of Trent declares that souls in Purgatory are assisted by the suffrages of the faithful, in general, it refers to everything we are able to offer to God on behalf of those who have departed from this life.

The suffrages consist of: prayers, alms, fasts and penances of any kind, indulgences, and, above all, the holy sacrifice of the Mass. When we perform all these works in a state of grace, Jesus allows us to offer them to the souls.
